Taco Pasta

Today was prep for the party day. The house is clean, most food is made and the cake is just waiting for the last layer. We also managed to watch a movie, get Marty's hair cut, and spend an inordinate amount of time playing Facebook games.

Marty made a big lunch (steak and corn on the cob) so no one bothered to think about dinner until our tummies started to grumble. I put some water on for pasta and did a quick inventory.

After the pasta was cooked, I mixed it with some of the taco meat that was simmering on the stove. It was a little dry so I dumped in the rest of the jar of salsa that was hanging out in the refrigerator and because Christian was afraid that I wouldn't add enough cheese, he tossed some in. We mixed it, put it into a sprayed Pyrex dish, topped with more cheddar cheese and tossed into the oven. The oven wasn't necessary, other than to give me a few minutes to clean the kitchen. We served it with taco fixings. It was a hit!
